How to reserve a
motorcycle tour with CIMT
STEP 1: Decide which tour and which
motorcycle you'd like to ride with a possible alternative motorcycle
STEP 2: email Francesco at tours@cimt.it
with the name and dates of the tour you'd wish to attend. You will
receive a precise quotation and a Tour Booking Form
STEP 3: Fill in the tour booking form and
send it back to CIMT
STEP 4: Pay 10% of the total tour cost as
booking deposit. This ensures you a place on the desired tour with the
desired motorcycle.
STEP 5: Make a note of the Tour Closing date.
This is usually 60 days prior to tour start date.
STEP 6: After Closing date Francesco from
CIMT will contact you to confirm the tour as starting or not.
STEP 7: Freelance srl, CIMT's touring
partners, will take the balance payment.
STEP 8: You will receive a joint tour
preparation email about 30 days prior to tour start indicating
precise location of meeting on tour start date, and other useful
information about the tour.
STEP 9: Show up on the day and enjoy the
tour!!
What happens if
minimum participants isn't reached?
if by the Closing
date of a tour the minimum quota of participants isn't reached there
are several options open:
a) the tour is
cancelled and the client will receive a full refund of the booking
deposit. In this case nothing is owed to CIMT by the client, and
nothing is owed from CIMT to the client.
b) the client has the
option to go ahead and still do the ride in a "self guided"
format at a lower price which takes into account the missing guide.
The client will be supplied with accommodation, rental motorcycle,
itinerary, maps, satnav GPS unit and will do the ride on his own, or
together with other participants who also had their guided tour
cancelled.
c) if the minimum
quota of participants is only missed by a few people, CIMT can propose
a payment integration to still run the tour as guided. The proposal
will have to be accepted by all participants unanimously. The amount
of this integration will be calculated by CIMT during the final
deliberations about starting the tour or not.
What happens if you
need to cancel the tour?
This really depends
on when you decide to cancel your participation:
if you cancel before
60 days prior to tour start the 10% booking fee will be held as credit
for another tour up until the end of the season following the one you
had intended to take the tour.
if you cancel between
60 and 30 days prior to tour start you loose 50% of the value of the
tour and 50% will be kept as credit for another tour up until the end
of the following season.
if you cancel the
tour with less than 30 days from tour start you loose the entire tour
value
CIMT does not provide
travel, medical nor cancellation insurance. This is something you
should take care of at your end. We do not offer this, as in this way
you are in better control of its costs and quality, and you will be in
a stronger position to put in the claim. CIMT will be happy to support
you with any paperwork you require for your insurance
requirements.
