If by the closing date of a tour (60 days from start date) the minimum quota of participants isn’t reached there are several options open:
a) the tour is cancelled and the client will receive a full refund of the booking deposit. In this case nothing is owed to CIMT by the client, and nothing is owed by CIMT to the client.
b) the client has the option to go ahead and still do the ride on a “self guided” basis at a lower price which takes into account the missing guides. The client will be supplied with accommodation, rental motorcycle, itinerary, maps, satnav GPS unit and will do the ride on his own, or together with other participants who also had their guided tour cancelled.
c) if the minimum quota of participants is only missed by a few people, CIMT can propose a payment integration in order to still run the tour as guided. The proposal will have to be accepted by all participants unanimously. The amount of this integration will be calculated by CIMT during the final deliberations about starting the tour or not.
This really depends on when you must cancel your participation:
if you cancel 60 days prior to tour start date the 500 euro booking fee will be held as credit for another tour up until the end of the season following the one you had intended to take the tour.
if you cancel between 60 and 30 days prior to tour start you loose 50% of the value of the tour and 50% will be kept as credit for another tour up until the end of the following season.
if you cancel the tour with less than 30 days from tour start you loose the entire tour value
CIMT does not provide travel, medical nor cancellation insurance. This is something you should take care of at your end. We do not offer this, as in this way you are in better control of its costs and quality, and you will be in a stronger position to put in the claim. CIMT will be happy to support you with any paperwork you require for your insurance requirements.
