Classic Tuscan Weekend

A nice chunk of the best roads Tuscany can offer and a dive into Medieval and Renaissance Tuscany for a real "full immersion" in the Tuscan classic countryside with perfect roads, beautiful scenery and great food and wine!

Arrive in Rome on Thursday evening, check into the tour hotel and have dinner with the group.

On Friday we shall collect the bikes in the morning and head straight out of Rome heading for the Siena mainly on the on the SS2 (Via Cassia). We take a small excursion by Lake Vico and then follow the SS2 via Lake Bolsena. (245km)

Saturday is dedicated to a loop south out of Siena covering places like Pienza and the Crete Senesi, Montalcino and San Galgano. Some truly fantastic riding and scenery. (265km)

Sunday is dedicated to a loop ride north of Siena covering places like San Gimignano, Volterra, views of Florence from Piazzale Michelangelo, but most of all dedicated to the fantastic twisty roads of Chianti (280km)

On Monday we leave Siena and head East into Umbria and enjoy the SS71 from Chiusi to Orvieto. After a short stop in Orvieto (possible lunch) we have about 1 hour of highway back into Rome where we aim to be by the evening (290km)
