motorcycle guide:

Francesco, the owner and founder of CIMT, will personally guide the tours, so you will get the complete benefit of his experience of living and riding in Italy. Francesco is bilingual in English and Italian. When asked how he can speak such good English, Francesco admits to having cheated in his early years as a boy, with an English mother and an Italian father. Francesco also speaks a little German and a really basic improvised French...

The motorcycle guide's function in CIMT tours is not really to lead the whole group through the countryside, but to offer his support in your enjoyment of riding over here. You can follow him of course and the guide will be very pleased to lead the way, but, by all means, you don't have to.

Each day, just before dinner, there will be a short briefing about what to expect on the following day. At the beginning of the tour, you will be given maps and a tour handbook with lots of information about where to ride, what to visit, what to look out for, etc., so really you will be able to ride alone, if you wish. The briefing is also done in the evening, so to give you complete freedom as to when to start in the morning. You can start at dawn, whilst everyone else is asleep, or you can have a late start enjoying a well deserved sleep in. After all you are on holiday!!!

The guide will also be there to give you advice on extra riding or short cuts for more direct routes. He will keep you informed about the weather forecast and adjust ride and routes accordingly to maximise riding enjoyment.

Generally speaking the motorcycle guide will be your reference point throughout the tour, but most of all a travelling companion.
