dinners & lunches:

we don't include dinners and lunches because over the years we have found out that most of you don't eat as much as Italians, so you were paying an Italian dinner (3 course) when eating only half of it. All these dinners were being included as a cost and then marked up. We have decided this year, and from now on, only to include welcome and farewell dinners, and dinners if we really can't help it. These are usually dinners priced at only 10/15 euro on top of the hotel room cost, but only where the quality of the food is really worth it, like for example in the dolomites, on part 2 of the Alpine Highlights tour and in Tunisia, where half board is nearly compulsory.

Lunches are not, and never were, included. This is because our guided tours don't necessarily include following the guide. You would have to, if lunches were included and we don't want to spoil your freedom to explore freely on your own during the day.

Of course for dinner you won't be left on your own unless you want to. The guides will be dining at a local restaurant and you will always be very welcome to join them and receive recommendations on what to eat and translations of the menus. Then at the end, each of you will pay for what you have eaten and drunken. Just like you'd do amongst friends.
